You Can't Buy Class
Former Utah Governor Mikey (The Hair) Leavitt and his family have been roundly thumped across the country for hiding millions in assets in a very shady charity scheme.
Mikey insists his family did nothing ILLEGAL, but surely a man who spent so much of his political career smiling for cameras on the front row of LDS General Conference
understands the difference between legality and morality. Just because its legal doesn't mean its right.
The real lesson here is that no matter how far Mikey's ambitions take him, the Leavitt family is a big fish small pond operation.
You can't buy class, man.

Yes! There is difference between legality and morality. I say we eat our own and go after Sherrie Swensen for protecting Nick Floros in the sexual harrasment case!
I certainly don't appreciate blowing $100,000 in county tax revenue because she is an inept manager!
Thank goodness he's no longer our governor, though.
But, sleazy family finances aside, he looks like such a statesman since he moved to DC, put on wire-rimmed glasses, and stopped dyeing his hair.

you're right----instead of being our problem and wasting tens of thousands of Utah taxpayer monies, he now is control of an entire arm of the federal government wasting MILLIONS!

well, you can't buy class, but you can certainly try. You can also try to purchase your way out of your fiscal responsibilities to the country that gave you the ability to find the money in te first place.
This guy would be a case study on the subject.
Not that I'm a "taxation" kind of guy, but what's good for goose should also be good for the gander.
My dad used to tell that Mike Leavitt was going to run for president one day. I'm glad he was wrong. If Mitt can't make it as a classy Repbulican Mikey doesn't stand a chance.
